Our School
Welcome to Bearwood Primary and Nursery School
Bearwood Primary and Nursery School prides itself for being at the heart of the community. We are a one form entry primary school with a maintained nursery. We are located on the outskirts of Poole and within Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Local Authority.
We currently have 202 full time pupils on roll (Reception - Year 6) and 48 part time pupils in the nursery class. There is one class per year group and we currently have 8 teachers and 9 teaching assistants along with 9 volunteers who assist at various times through out the school week.
The school’s vision ‘Learning, Enjoying, Succeeding Together.’ leads to high aspirations from the pupils themselves including those in vulnerable groups and those children with special educational needs.
The School Day
Our school gates open at 8:30am for pupils to come on site and be supervised on the playground until they are able to line up for the start of the day at 8:50am.
Registration is at 9:00am.
School Day ends at 3:30pm.
There are 32.5 total in-school hours each week.
